Castleton Brings on a New Inclusive Vendor – Rex Bradford Jones
Meet Rex Bradford Jones of Abner’s Attic Catering: Rex has been in the catering business since 1982. He’s experienced the spectrum of this business, from concessions to white tablecloth restaurants.
Abner’s Attic currently provides very upscale service and Rex feels privileged and excited to be asked to join Castleton Farms’ list of inclusive vendors.
He knows that Castleton has extremely high standards for all their vendors, and he is honored to be a part of this exclusive team.
Rex and his staff pride themselves on customizing every client experience. His customers express their needs and he makes their dreams come true. There are no cookie-cutter menu options at Abner’s Attic. They can even take a family favorite recipe and adapt it to a catering spread for a client’s event!
Rex truly enjoys out-of-the-box setups and creative food. One customer had a spread that comprised of finger foods only, but really wanted Macaroni and Cheese included. Rex developed a new signature dish solely for this event – Macaroni and Cheese Squares, a new finger food.
He particularly loves creating custom themes. As a fundraiser for Random Acts of Flowers, Rex created Caprese sticks inside edible orchids. Another exciting event was an Oscars-themed luncheon, where a fabulous white chocolate Oscar statue with edible gold dust and a decadent chocolate filmstrip were served as the encore.
For wedding ceremonies, Abner’s Attic will customize the groom’s choice, such as pies in lieu of cake. This is a great way to keep the groom involved but maintain tradition as well.
According to Rex, presentation is ninety percent of his work. Spreads must look as good as they taste and taste as good as they look, or they are not successful.
It is evident that Rex and his staff have a true passion and gift for preparing creative and unique food – an art that is rare but preserved at Abner’s Attic.
