Follow the Bride: Amanda Jones, Part 2
How do you plan a wedding when you own a business and all your time is spent meeting the needs of your customers? Well, it makes it easier when you have a loving and supportive fiance. Amanda Jones, owner of Regency Salon in the Marriott, is engaged to Josh Maddox who pitched in and made all the phone calls to set up appointments with the wedding vendors.
“He’s been a big help,” Amanda said. He said wanted to have input in the plans, especially with the rehearsal dinner menu (a shrimp boil)
and the reception music, (the band, the Coveralls).
After they chose to get married in the vineyard at Castleton Farms, they selected July since they knew they wanted a summer wedding. Some details are still undecided, but Amanda has chosen her wedding colors. The nine bridesmaids will be dressed in black. Shades of purple and sage green are being used as accent colors in the decorations and the floral designs by Always in Bloom.
“My favorite color is purple,” Amanda said. The seven groomsmen will be wearing black lightweight suits and the ties will be in various shades of purple.
Amanda found the perfect dress and will be stunning in her Maggie Sottero strapless, fitted wedding gown.
Stay tuned to find out more as Amanda and Josh continue planning their July 17, 2010 wedding.
