Sonya Scott, a wedding planner with A Perfect Day, has always had a passion for weddings.
Sonya’s father was a minister and she always knew she wanted to work in the wedding business. It was when she saw the movie, “Father of the Bride” that she realized being a wedding planner was a real possibility for her.

Planning weddings allows Sonya to put her organizational skills to use. List making and managing things are traits that make Sonya the perfect wedding planner.

“People tell me that I have a calming spirit,” Sonya said. She uses that easy-going style to make sure that everything runs smoothly.

So when should the bridal party consult a wedding planner? According to Scott, as soon as the engagement is announced, the couple should speak to a wedding planner.
