Meet Darla Walker, Events and Facility Director
Being able to create the wedding day that brides have dreamed of their entire lives is what makes being the Events Director at Castleton Farms a very special career for Darla Walker.
“It’s not a job to me,” Darla said in an interview. “I get to be a part of their lives during a very special time.”
Darla’s experience in operations, her strong organizational skills and her personality are attributes that make her the perfect fit for Castleton Farms. Darla, formerly with Walker Group – an event planning a decorating business, has more than 20 years of event planning experience.
For Darla, each wedding is like a whole new project. “I love to see these brides open up a bloom during the process.” Darla said she loves working with all the different brides. The DIY-type brides bring out her creativity and the involved-type brides allow her to use her ability to visualize scenes.
Darla’s keen business sense is taking Castleton Farms to a national level. The new tented pavilion allows Castleton Farms to be a year-round facility and can accommodate up to 500 guests.
Castleton Farms has partnered with the best-of-the-best vendors, like Waldorf Photographic Art and All Occasion Party Rentals. “They’re an extension of who and what Castleton Farms is, and why we’re the premiere venue in the area.”
National advertising, embracing social network marketing and partnering with local businesses in the area help make Castleton Farms the preferred wedding destination of the South.
