Follow the Bride, Megan Haynes Part 4
In case wedding planning isn’t stressful enough, in the last couple of weeks, Castleton Farms bride, Megan Haynes has completed her final dissertation and presented it to her University of Tennessee professors and is finishing her student teaching assignment at Grand Oaks Elementary in Anderson County. Oh yeah, Megan is also in the process of packing up all of her belongings because the day after she returns from her honeymoon, she’s moving to Abilene, Texas.
“I’m stressing about logistical things,” Megan said less than three weeks before her May 15th wedding. She explained that since she acquired a lot of her reception decorations at Ikea , like the galvanized pots used as centerpieces, she’s making plans on how to transport them to venue and get them set up.
Another source of anxiety is the music. Megan’s fiance, Aaron, has a brother-in-law who’s a talented guitarist. He will be playing before the wedding while the grandmothers are being seated. A friend of Megan’s from church will be accompanying him. While Megan has spoken to both, they haven’t decided on a song list or rehearsed together.
Another detail that hasn’t been completed is the wedding program. Megan has enlisted the help of Aaron’s sisters, though the wording hasn’t been finalized yet.
“I feel like it’s coming together,” Megan said. She picked up her wedding dress last week and final alterations are being made and will be ready soon. Stay tuned to find out how Megan pulls together the loose ends in the final weeks before the wedding.
