Follow the Bride: Amanda Jones, Part 4

For Castleton Farms bride, Amanda Jones, April meant showers. No, not rain as in “April showers bring May flowers,” but wedding showers.

On April 11 after church, Amanda had a shower with the ladies from her mother’s and her step-father’s side of the family. The shower took place at her fiance, Josh’s aunt’s home and his other aunt helped plan the celebration.

The week after, Amanda’s bridesmaids threw a couples shower that took place at Amy and Andy Mason’s house. Approximately 50 guests helped Amanda and Josh celebrate their upcoming nuptials.

In June, two more showers are scheduled. Amanda’s father’s side of the family is holding a shower for her. Also, on June 6th at Lulu’s Tearoom, there was a mother/daughter shower.

Then it’s time to party! Amanda’s bachelorette party is on June 25th in Charlotte. Amanda said one of her best friends lives in Charlotte and has invited them to hit downtown for fun and festivities before the July 17th wedding.

Josh and his friends will be heading to Hilton Head for golf and fun in the sun for his bachelor party.

Now that Amanda and Josh have undoubtedly receive countless shower gifts, it’s time for them to think about groomsmen and bridesmaids gifts. Josh has decided to thank his groomsmen for standing up for him by giving them ties and pocket squares that they will wear for the wedding. The ties and squares are in varying shades of purple with different designs. The grooms will look sharp sporting these at the wedding and elsewhere.

Amanda is undecided on her bridesmaid gifts. She said that since most of her bridesmaids have been in several weddings, she’s trying to think of something unique to give them to thank them for their service.

Amanda is looking for suggestions for bridesmaids’ gifts, so feel free offer input on unique gift items for nine bridesmaids. But hurry! July 17th will be here before you know it.
